While fashion holds a more burgeons connotation in the current times, there is much dilution in trends and fads making them rather ineffective. It is interesting to see how Indian consumer in any age group, urban especially, is certainly driven by the western and Asian trends and movements. The age of information has blurred the identity of style as a definition to a particular region. What is rather important lately is a look ‘within’. As Indians, culture and geography, but most of all by the state of the current times connect us.
There is much that can be done in backward integration of ‘style’ to culture and certainly it seems like a great way forward to produce fresh fashion, says Ms Geeta Khanna, Founder of Hirumchi Styling Company.
Ms Geeta Khanna, founder of Hirumchi Styling Company, sees this backward integration as the new way forward to fresh fashion. She envisions reintegrating Indian techniques of style and fashion into a global look that is "alluring, appetizing and aspirational".

Her platform is 'Heritage and Style of India: It is a platform that offers 'style application' to threatened and unique Indian arts and crafts. Her partner for this event is Women Weave Charitable Trust, founded and lead by Ms Sally Holkar, with Hemendra Sharma as the ceo.
At Hirumchi Styling Company, all plans are created with cfo Nidhi Mahajan, and we understood the need to offer a fashion platform to the handloom effort so that it can be embraced by the younger generation.
